Ruth Reichl is one of America’s most beloved foodies – restaurant critic, Gourmet Magazine editor, memoirist, restaurateur, and six-time James Beard Award-winner. Reichl has shaped the way we think about, cook, and eat food.
As one of the most formidable restaurant critics from 1990 to 1999 at the Los Angeles Times, and later The New York Times, Reichl’s experiences provided a wealth of source material for her memoirs. Her diverse career also includes her own American Public Television series Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie and frequent appearances as a guest judge on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. Her newest book My Kitchen Year: 136 Recipes That Saved My Life will be out on September 29th. Read more about this very personal cookbook here.
Squirrel Hill’s local independent bookstore Classic Lines Books & More will be selling copies of Reichl’s books before and after her lecture.
